GET TO KNOW US
Mum to two amazing kids.
Tammy brings 30 years of nursing and midwifery experience to the families she supports. As an Endorsed Midwife and Maternal and Child Health Nurse (MCHN), she combines clinical knowledge with an understanding of the everyday joys and challenges of early parenthood.
She provides personalised antenatal and postnatal clinical midwifery care, including postnatal home visits and feeding support. Tammy is also working towards completing training in perinatal mental health counselling — continuing to deepen her understanding of emotional wellbeing around pregnancy and early parenting.
Her approach is calm, respectful and led by what matters to you.
Mum to three grown-up kids and proud grandma to a gorgeous four-year-old grandson.
With 10 years of experience as a Registered Midwife, Jo brings hands-on maternity knowledge, warmth and an appreciation of how much life changes when a baby arrives.
She is a Positive Parenting Coach and works in early parenting support, helping families explore newborn behaviour, responsive care, settling, feeding, connection and confidence. Her focus is on practical, individualised education that builds on each family’s own strengths.
Jo believes there is no single perfect way to parent — only families who deserve to feel heard, supported and empowered.
YOUR CARE, EXPLAINED
Both are qualified midwives registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Both bring professional knowledge and are accountable to midwifery standards. Endorsement adds specific qualifications and authorities — it does not replace the skills of a registered midwife.
A registered midwife is qualified to provide midwifery care, education and support within their professional scope, including pregnancy, birth, postnatal wellbeing, newborn and feeding support. Individual practice depends on competence, role and setting.
Jo provides education and early parenting support within her registered scope. This registration alone does not give her independent access to eligible-midwife Medicare billing or prescribing.
An endorsed midwife is a registered midwife who has met additional education, clinical experience and endorsement requirements. Within relevant laws and scope, endorsement permits prescribing of certain scheduled medicines and related services.
With the appropriate provider number and Medicare requirements met, an eligible endorsed midwife such as Tammy can bill qualifying clinical consultations under the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS), and may access PBS prescribing arrangements where eligible. Not every appointment or educational activity is Medicare billable.
Medicare bulk billing applies only to eligible services and patients under the relevant MBS item requirements. Private education and group sessions are not automatically Medicare-funded. For further information visit NMBA midwifery scope guidance and Services Australia.
